M2 was founded in 1998 by facility management professionals to provide Facility Operations, Business Process Analysis and Management Solutions to a variety of building owners and operators including: Corporate Real Estate, Hospitality, Education, Healthcare, Multi-Family Living, Retail and many Facility Management Outsourcers.
In 1998, M2 pioneered Application Hosting for Enterprise Asset Management Software (Maximo®). We began to offer both client owned software Application Hosting as well as Software as a Service (SaaS).Today our Mantis Application Hosting Solution, both Maximo® and TRIRIGA® based, serves over 12000 users at over 300 sites for more than 40 clients. This gives us day-to-day contact with the challenges facing the facility operations staff, together with unique insight into the solutions that are today’s commercial best practices.
M2 works with both consultants and end-users to fully implement the TRIRIGA® Solution in a variety of circumstances. Our core strength is the understanding and familiarity with the underlying business processes of the customer, and how best to enable them using this technology.
Management Team
Rick Bevington – Co-Founder & CEO
Rick co-founded M2 in 1998. Prior to that, he spent almost 15 years with Johnson Controls leaving as General Manager, Industrial and High-Tech Facility Outsourcing Business Unit. Rick has been working in facilities management, service delivery management and building systems since 1975.
Rick’s an active or past member of BOMA, IFMA, CoreNet, PRSM and ISFE.
Rick has been published in several industry publications including the special issue on Energy for Scientific American. Rick is a graduate of Immaculate Heart College and has completed Executive Programs at the University of Virginia Darden School of Management.
Steve Platt – Vice President, Application Hosting
Mr. Platt is M2’s vice president for Managed Application Hosting operations including set-up, training and frontline support. Prior to joining M2 in 1999, Mr. Platt worked for Servidyne, a leading EAM and Energy Management contractor, where he served as director of Operations for four years. Mr. Platt began his career in the healthcare and benefits management industry, where he recruited doctors and managed customer service operations for John Hancock and United Healthcare.
Steve has managed M2’s Application Hosting business for 16 years. He has worked on over 100 Maximo projects. He delivers superior customer satisfaction through the development and implementation of best practices in Managed Application Hosting through accountability, responsiveness and attention to detail. Steve oversees the hosting for over 40 clients, at over 300 locations with over 12,000 users.
